Used to live 3 blocks away (back when it was Big Mike's after her ex-husband) and went at least once a week. Never had anything but the best food and wonderful customer service! Go when it's slow. Not for faster service though. So you can chat with Joyce! She's a hoot!!!
Love the food. The owner is very friendly and colorful. She will talk your ear off and make you laugh! Did I mention how good the food is?
Louie's Bucket of Bones
I have never had greater chicken and ribs in my life the chicken was so moist and flavorful. And the ribs were so tasteful. But I did end up getting sauce on my glasses! The potatoes that the meals come with, taste so good with the sour cream salt-and-pepper and the sauce that the meal comes with. everything was heated just right that made the flavors pop even more. The waitress that severed us was the owner and she was extremely kind and helpful. I could not ask for a better waitress. The decor made me feel at home with the rustic outside than when you look up onto the roof of the patio there are thousands of messages from past people that have come this restaurant . This restaurant is a must do when you visit Ironton Minnesota!!
Food was the bomb, so juicy on the inside, yet a crisp on the outside, made for a really enjoyable meal.
The owner is a really nice gal, however I can tell during the evening hours she's a little "extra nice" if you know what I mean. One night we went there with the kids and she dropped 3 out of 5 plates and smelt not-so-sober. The food is fantastic however. If you're looking for an adventure and home cooked hospitality, she will definitely give it to ya!
